Utilización de plasma rico en fibrina (PRF) como complemento en técnicas de injerto óseo: tendencias actuales y perspectivas terapéuticas.

El Plasma Rico en Fibrina (PRF) ha emergido como una estrategia biotecnológica prometedora para la regeneración ósea post-exodoncia en odontología. Este estudio documental tuvo como objetivo analizar la evidencia científica actual sobre la eficacia del PRF mediante una revisión sistemática de investigaciones clínicas. Se aplicó una matriz documental que incluyó ensayos clínicos aleatorizados y revisiones sistemáticas, clasificados según la escala de niveles de evidencia de Oxford. Los resultados indican que el PRF favorece la neoformación ósea y la preservación del reborde alveolar durante las primeras semanas posteriores a la extracción dental. Asimismo, se observó una alta calidad metodológica en la mayoría de los estudios analizados. Se concluye que el PRF constituye una opción válida en procedimientos de regeneración ósea, aunque se recomienda su uso combinado con otras terapias para efectos prolongados
