Efectividad de las intervenciones de enfermería en la prevención de infecciones asociadas a la atención en salud en pacientes obstétricas críticas.

Las infecciones asociadas a la atención en salud (IAAS) son una complicación frecuente en pacientes obstétricas críticas, aumentando la morbimortalidad materna y los costos hospitalarios. Esta revisión analizó la efectividad de las intervenciones de enfermería para prevenir IAAS, mediante una búsqueda en PubMed, Scopus, SciELO y CINAHL de artículos publicados entre 2019 y 2024. Las intervenciones más efectivas incluyen la higiene rigurosa de manos, el manejo aséptico de dispositivos invasivos, la vigilancia de signos de infección, la educación al personal y pacientes, y la implementación de bundles de cuidado. Además, la formación continua y una cultura institucional de seguridad mejoran la adherencia a estas prácticas. Se concluye que las acciones de enfermería son fundamentales para reducir las IAAS en este grupo, siempre que se implementen de forma sistemática, constante y con respaldo institucional, reforzando la importancia de la capacitación especializada
