Rehabilitación estética en pacientes con sonrisa gingival: enfoques interdisciplinarios basados en la evidencia.

La sonrisa gingival excesiva constituye un desafío estético y funcional que afecta la calidad de vida de los pacientes; el propósito de esta revisión es sintetizar la evidencia sobre protocolos interdisciplinarios para su rehabilitación. Se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura (2021–2025) en PubMed, ScienceDirect y SpringerLink, incluyendo 23 estudios de niveles de evidencia 1a a 5. Se compararon intervenciones quirúrgicas (crown lengthening asistido digitalmente, lip repositioning con myotomía), tratamientos mínimamente invasivos (toxina botulínica A, láser, radiofrecuencia) y abordajes ortodóncicos/ortognáticos. Los ensayos muestran reducciones de exposición gingival de 1,8–3 mm y alta satisfacción clínica, con durabilidad variable según la técnica. La combinación de diagnóstico etiológico preciso y flujos de trabajo digitales optimiza los resultados. Se concluye que un abordaje integrador, personalizado según la causa subyacente, maximiza la eficacia y minimiza la morbilidad, estableciendo bases para futuros ensayos multicéntricos.
