Intervenciones no farmacológicas de enfermería y efectividad en el control del dolor en pacientes críticos.

El dolor en pacientes críticos representa un desafío constante durante su estancia en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos, por lo que las intervenciones no farmacológicas de enfermería surgen como alternativas relevantes para su manejo. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la efectividad de dichas intervenciones en el control del dolor en pacientes críticos. Se empleó una revisión sistemática bajo el modelo PRISMA 2020 como instrumento de recolección de datos, utilizando descriptores DeCS y MeSH combinados con operadores booleanos en inglés. La búsqueda se realizó en bases de datos como PubMed, SciELO, Dialnet y Google Scholar, considerando publicaciones entre 2020 y 2025 en inglés y español. Tras el proceso de identificación, selección y evaluación, se incluyeron 30 artículos científicos para el análisis. Los resultados evidenciaron que técnicas como la musicoterapia, la aromaterapia y los ejercicios de relajación contribuyen a la reducción del dolor y al uso complementario de analgésicos, destacando su valor dentro del cuidado integral. En conclusión, las intervenciones no farmacológicas son eficaces para favorecer una atención humanizada, mejorar el confort del paciente crítico y fortalecer el rol del profesional de enfermería.
